Victory @ Sea
November 12th, 2009 by Lane
The waves started picking up yesterday morning after a week of small north swells and lots of little sandbar surfs. It looks and feels like winter now. It is cold north winds and stormy surf breaking all over the place and out to sea. Its hard to even tell how big it is but I would say solid 6-8 with possible 10 footers... somewhere. This NNE swell is pretty much unriddable up side at the moment but the Reef Hawaiian Pro is on at Haleiwa kicking off the first leg of the Triple Crown. I'm sure the majority of the swell would be missing Haleiwa, but I guess its good enough to go; probably be more of a left today. The wind is actually better today than yesterday, but the swell is really close together. A nice NW swell forecast for Monday with some more town swells.
